Brand Manager, Los Angeles

Job Summary: The Brand Manager will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of HCT's key branding clients. You will work closely with the client to examine their business and marketing/communication challenges, and provide strategic direction on how to best overcome them. You will translate the strategic needs into communication solutions, both online and offline. You will use project management skills to ensure creative deliverables are aligned with client expectations and executed within budget and timescales.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead relationship with client. Keep a good understanding of their needs and provide strategic insight and guidance to help the client achieve its business goals
  • Project management with internal team and external agencies and vendors
  • Take a lead role in conceptualizing and managing the creative elements of creative projects (both on and offline).
  • Guide and oversee creative outputs, ensuring everything is delivered on time and within established budget, providing quality on both design outputs and production to ensure commercial success.
  • Support the sales team to come up with strategic sales proposals.
  • Lead strategic planning initiatives including deck writing, budget and channel allocation.
  • Collaborate with content partnership and product colleagues to develop, test, execute, and measure ideas for specific brands and clients.
  • Collaborate with packaging innovation team on pairing formula and packaging to create innovative concepts.
  • Track trends and follow industry development to help build strategies for new concepts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • A passion for the cosmetic industry.
  • 2+ year experience with brand strategy, naming, and messaging development for a major global brand.
  • 7+ year experience in brand marketing, advertising, marketing communications.
  • Copywriting experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to earn trust while coordinating projects across a vast network of internal teams spanning design, marketing, engineering and operations.
  • Proven ability to balance long-term visioning with immediate needs.
  • Both technically deep and business savvy enough to interface with all levels and disciplines within the organization.
  • Specific experience with ownership of naming and/or packaging.
  • Past experience within the beauty and makeup industry a plus.

Senior Graphic Designer, Los Angeles

HCT is in search of a creative, energetic and talented Sr. Graphic Designer to join our Santa Monica office. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of design orientated projects from branding and packaging development to marketing concepts. The position requires the capability to work with cross-functional teams including industrial designers, marketing, engineers, project managers, sales and clients to provide design solutions that exceed client and management expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the highest possible creation of branding development, brand identity systems and packaging design.
• Maintain brand standards and brand integrity
• Develop inspiration and trending boards to inspire clients and design team.
• Work on client projects as well as on HCT in-house projects
• Conduct clear and engaging design presentations to internal stakeholders and/or clients
• Drive and define graphic concepts from early stage to final design with on-brand, trend inspired and iconic designs.
• Working with manufacturing constraints to ensure that design details are carried through into production.

Qualifications:

• Must be a bright, articulate, self-starter who can take initiative and bring new ideas to the table
• Excellent visual and verbal communication skills
• 5+ years agency experience focused on branding projects. Background in the beauty industry is a plus.
• Superior capabilities and troubleshooting skills with Adobe Creative Suite is a must
• Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of print/packaging decoration techniques
• Have the ability to work independently and collaborative and to manage a large, deadline driven workload in an interdisciplinary team.
• Passion for the exploration of trends in art, graphics and fashion
• Degree in a Design related field (or equivalent experience) and 5-8 years of professional experience

Basic Function: As a Sales Coordinator, you would be assisting in receiving & confirming customer purchase orders, placing purchase orders to factories , coordinating samples, organizing projects, tracking shipments, maintaining project files, and various other duties to support the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and manage Purchase Orders with factories and operations on a global scale
  • Organize and track shipments; coordinate deliveries with logistical team and clients
  • Create and update timelines
  • Coordinate samples between the factories and customers
  • Keeping records and organizing various aspects of projects
  • Communicate responses and instructions via email and phone
  • Coordinate samples from factories to replenish stock and collaboration room
  • Maintain a library of most up to date supplier catalogs.
  • Prepare, label and send samples (internally and to customers)
  • Track shipments to ensure timely delivery
  • Ensure monthly reports are completed by maintaining ongoing contact with overseas suppliers

Director of Product Development Sales, New Jersey

Position Summary: Represent a series of innovative products to acquire new clients, grow into new markets and develop new campaigns for cosmetic projects. Manage brand-specific turnkey color cosmetic projects, from preliminary Product Profile through delivery, by maintaining daily correspondence with customers and global factories (supply chain).

Project Manager, New Jersey

Basic Function: This position will be responsible for helping to manage customer relations and projects through direct contact with customers and factories. • Ensure clients abide by timing in both formula and packaging development
